Thatcher Fucked The Kids

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Some times the simplistic brutality of a song time encompasses a whole concept and needs little explanation. I think this is one of them.
Thatcher Fucked the Kids by Frank Turner does remind me of Billy Bragg (not sure thats a good thing or not) but at the same time has made me smile. the song title is almost as good as “Bring me the head of Michael Portillo” by the Family Cat.

I still prefer the sheer hatred and anger of “IFWHITEAMERICATOLDTHETRUTHFORONEMINUTEITSWHOLEWORLDWOULDFALLAPART” by the Manic Street Preachers.

Me and My Big Mouth

Cock! I’ve signed up for a 10K run - I can’t even be bothered walking to he pub so god knows why running over 6 miles seemed appealing. But we were in the office, we got chatting and thought lets do something absolutely stupid in the name of our masculinity and as a fop to pretend we’re not getting older. Until five minutes ago 10K was an esoteric figure, just a number and then I saw the course map - 10K is still 10K but there a giant hill smack bang in the middle of it! Completely forgot there might be an incline - 10K in the gym may be doable but climbing K2 in the middle less so. Click link below to have a shifty.

Cheers to Andy and Gav for convincing me this would be a great idea (in retrospect I think I may have been the one doing the convincing - I must have been drunk!)

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Its a shame that the ‘Love me Tender’ Ad over @ AgentProvocateur takes so long to load. I sat at my desk, at work, waiting for the ad to load - and it was worth the wait but Jees it felt like I was waiting an eternity - probably increased server load.

Anyway I had never seen the little vixen (goes by the name of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) so I thought a few of you would be interested in the following images:

No Such Luck

Why is it that everyone believes that the changing of the digits in the year is going to herald a bigger, better year than that which has just finished? I’ll tell you why - because they’re desperate. This year looks like it will be full of more desperation than is usually to be found on the lines @ the Samaritans but hey - when you pump people full of credit, make them believe its their money and talk the language of entitlement for over a decade when the whole thing goes tits up who do you blame? If you’re big Gordon Brown you blame America. The whole credit led debacle aside anyone noticed all the cool stuff going on just now?
