Glasgow girls with their shopping on the double decker bus

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Ok if you dont know about the headline you’ve never heard of the Australian indie supergroup Godstar - who I must admit are in my top four bands of all time - with the lyric being shamelessly stolen from their “Glasgow EP” . I no longer work in Glasgow and instead now turn right at the bottom of the road rather than left and work through in Edinburgh. So no longer shall I be seeing any Glasgow girls on Glasgow double decker busses. and judging by my drunken antics on Friday nights I’m not sure that I’ll be allowed with a ten mile radius of Scotlands other capital for quite some time.

Thank fook the LinkMunki (the LinkMunki holds court over here) sent me a link to the Chrome extension called “Glow” which lets you change the Google logo to anything you want :)

In his honour mine now shows thus:

Off to do some work - whilst listening to the rain batter off the windows like a muppet on a drum kit.

Evony banner ads - a bit much for a mmorpg?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I was just wandering the web as is my want at times and I stumbled across the following banner ads for http://www.evony.com. A quick google later and I find that this is some sort of mmorpg! The ads are probably better than the game…

see http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/001286.html for more of this ad campaign!

Orang-utan Friendly Oatcakes WTF

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Yep the worlds gone absolutely, stone cold, fucking mental. You know Scottish Oatcakes biscuits made using  butter, oats, salt and an oven. Its a simple mix and bake recipe. And you can add various bits and pieces such as cheese, chilli, herbs etc to change the flavour. But in essence they’re still oatcakes you just add some flavours.

The geniuses (may be genii) who design/market/produce Patersons Oat bits have added a new logo to show every one that their fucking oat cakes are now Orang-utan friendly! I kid thee not.
