What to listen to on a Friday?
Did you ever listen to ‘Radio Indie Pop‘. If not it’s too late. As it appears to have done the way of the betamax video. Its died and looks unlikely to air again. Indie pop radio was a free online radio station where you selected the kind of music you wanted to listed to based upon the day of the week: Monday was chilled out and relaxing music to break you into the week whereas Friday and Saturday were more aggressive and designed to get you into the mood for going out for the weekend. And to add to it all they had an eigth choice - Ramones Radio. The Ramones 24/7. Which is an idea of complete genius.
I also used to use Pandora but thats US listeners only now - so that’s fooked as well.
Anyway, as its dead I’ve had to use LastFM more often. LastFMs good - but sometimes they’re a bit bloody obvious with the linkages between songs and at other times they just thoroughly frustrate me! They keep sending me Natalie Merchant songs for example would be a prime example.
Does anyone know of any decent online music services that are in a similar vein?

I was listening to LastFM on my new shiny iPhone so had to go out and get images from other websites. The image from ‘Hate Your Friends’ is from the US library of congress page talking about records featuring Amazing Grace. Last thing I expected a US government website to include but there you go.
